Opening: 23.09.2011, 8:00 PM

Exhibition duration: 23.09.2011 – 30.09.201

Daily 8 – 11 PM

Temporal Anomalies is hitherto the first group exhibition and for the time being the last presentation at the current 5x6x9 space in Berlin. On seven consecutive evenings 5 video works by emerging and acclaimed artists will be shown in a 30min loop. 5x6x9 will remain closed during the exhibition duration, the presented films can only be seen between 8 and 11 p.m. in the window front of the exhibition space.

Being shown in Berlin for the first time, Temporal Anomalies presents an eloquent selection of video works, which can be located on the boundary between documentation and fiction, between intervention, readymade and sculpture. The video works comprise abstract and real images, which are full of societal as well as poetic references. Beyond their different starting points the video works are linked by their sublime political message, which recedes behind their impressive audiovisual appearance. All presented artists in Temporal Anomalies have altered real-time by individual means. This spectrum ranges from a high-speed camera, which allows extreme slow-motion images, to a one and a half minute summary of a two weeks artistic intervention.
