Since his beginnings with “Nouvelle Tendence” during the 1960s Hartmut Böhm, is challenging the structures and border zones of Constructive and Concrete Art in his precise and consequent manner for almost 50 years. Böhm is one of the internationally most renowned German artists in this field. His concept is called “Progressionen gegen Unendlich” [progression towards infinity] and his form finding is based on acutely formal reduction. 5x6x9 is pleased to present two early sculptural works from this series, as well as drawings and picture objects, in our exhibition “Gegenüberstellung” [Juxtaposition]. Exclusively for this exhibition at 5x6x9 Hartmut Böhm has realized a limited edition of pencil drawings.
